March Challenge: Fitter, Stronger, Faster.

Well only 4 days in so here is our March Challenge:

burpeesYes, you read right: 10,000 burpees by the end of March. That is 357 a day… this is going to be hard!

One of my training buddy Ruth’s goals is to be faster so we will also be testing upfront: 1,500m on the treadmill on 1% incline – fastest possible. We will also time a 2 of our favourite runs this week around Wellington: Grass Street Hill and Mt Vic run with the goal of improving our PB.

I have had my calliper fat tests done and sitting somewhere between 21.6 and 22 with my obliques needing the most work. So I would like to drop that down by 3%. With all of these burpees – that is a definite possibility!

As always, wish us luck and join us if you are game! The lovely lads at Elevate Plus will be joining us (no backing out now…).

    That is insane! I guess thats probably why they say ‘Train insane or remain the same!’ GO YOU. I’m doing an ab challenge for March – aiming to do a 2 minute 15 sec plank, 100 situps and 35 pushups building up slowly!

    • I know – I am totally regretting it already but I can feel a huge sense of relief once it does happen. I blame Joe from Elevate Plus – I thought 1,000 was a reasonable number! Those are awesome goals, and I agree with the slow build up. I would never have dreamed of 50 burpees in one sitting let alone 10,000 burpees 4 months ago! You are doing it all right!
